PSALM 23
A Scouse Paraphrase

I call Him me Shipmate, me butty, tho a course e made me.
E won't see me stuck.

E takes me away fum dicey joints into gear placis.
It's like avin a quiet walk along the Mersey above Runcorn.

When I fell proper umpty E makes me feel gear.
Jus so I do credit to im e moodeys along wit me into the real best specs in dis world.

Ay, if I wuz on the way to the bone-yard I'd not be scurred
- dere is - ay, you're durr, mate,
you gorra walkin' cane AN a crutch to elp your ould butty, la.

Dem as ates yew, dey see me sittin down to good scoff,
you get me all poshed up and toney,
I just can't say ta enough.

No argin about it,
s'long as I live the gear t'ings an' the elpin and'll be durr.
An' in the nex werld.
