Project Status Reports

Initially met with Anne in early March. We did a walk-through of 421 and 422.

Fred inventoried working computers in 421 and 422 and I generated the following chart:

The chart indicates 11 vacant carrels and 3 missing workstations. Adian volunteered one machine and Dana found 4 more for a total of 5 extra machines. Two extra workspaces were identified: 446A and 446B and have been added to the chart.

Changes in tasks, resources or schedule.

Message from Susan with names of sponsors and request for two additional workspaces and computers.

Email to Susan that we have 5 machines. Email to Anne about 2 more workspaces.

Email to Sponsors requesting students and workstation requirements.

This Table Has Been Moved Here

Purpose of this is to move the above table there, so as to acquaint sponsors and students with machines and location, and available documentation for the project. Begun 6/2/05. Need input from various sponsors with further instructions for students.

446A and 446B will be used. -- ElaineVDennison? - 15 Apr 2005

June 2, 2005 Danny, Elaine and Bob are current building 4 dual boot machines, plus the netVis machines. Machines in the build loop include

  • Stingray - to be renamed as pony13
  • wkkxt27
  • wkkxt19 (from 432)
  • a bunch of "Netvis* machines

Problems currently include - bad hard drives, bad video cards - almost every machine has something wrong with it.

Action plan for addressing open issues or questions and potential impacts on the project.

Of the 4 additional machines, three may be under-powered.
