Changing your password

Windows password

Login to a windows desktop, press ctl+alt+delete and select the change password option. Follow the instructions to change your windows password. This currently on affects only the windows authentication portion of logging in.

Core services password (i.e. Unix based machines, mail, SCS clusters, web, etc...)

Go to:

https://www.scs.fsu.edu/passwd

Calendar

Login into http://calendar.scs.fsu.edu and select the "Preferences" option under the "General Menu". Calendar is one of the few computer resources that is not currently using the SCS distributed password system. Contact ops@scs.fsu.edu if you'd like to get an account on the calendar server.

Changing your default login shell

SCS systems support three default login shells.

  • csh
  • tcsh
  • bash

If you would like to change your default login shell please visit https://www.scs.fsu.edu/passwd and select "Change Shell" in the left hand menu
