TechHelp WebCD and DVD Burner
The two Windows machines in the 'Hallway' have been replaced and upgraded to improve performance and accommodate members of the SCS community who need to store data on CD or DVD. The new machines are Dell Optiplex GX520s and each is equipped with a DVD+-RW, CD-ROM drive using Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7 software. This application is easy to use with an intuitive interface. To use:- Place the file you wish to copy into your home directory.
- Go to hallway-win1 or hallway-win2 and login using your SCS username and password. This will mount your home directory.
- To open the program, click on the desktop icon or insert a blank disc in the drive.
- Follow the on-screen options for the task you wish to complete.
Once you are finished, please make sure to 'log off' the machine.
