Adjusting the Sound System Volume Levels
The School of Computational Science Seminar Room has a small sound system that is hooked into the Seminar Room computer and the various A/V components available in this facility. Adjustments of the sound system's volume levels is done through the AMX Touchscreen Controller located on the left side of the Presenter's desk.
If the AMX Touchscreen is in sleep mode, all you have to do is press on the screen to wake it up. When it wakes up you should see this screen:
Across the top are the Control Group buttons. Press the button marked "Audio Settings" and you should get a screen which now looks like this:
Select the volume group you wish to adjust (Program Audio Level is for the Computer and A/V Components while Microphone level controls the volume for the Wireless Microphone) and slide the volume bar up or down for that group depending on if you wish to raise or lower the volume.
To mute a particular volume group, simply press the bottom mute button for the respective group. The button will reverse itself indicating that the program group is now muted. To unmute a program group, simply press the muted button.
It is recommended that you leave the Microphone levels as they are present to avoid the possibility of feedback through the speakers.
