Turning on the Seminar Room Projectors
The School of Computational Science Seminar Room has two projectors that are located behind the rear projection screen at the front of the room. Control of these projectors is through the AMX Touchscreen Controller located on the left side of the Presenter's desk.
If the AMX Touchscreen is in sleep mode, all you have to do is press on the screen to wake it up. When it wakes up you should see this screen:
Across the top are the Control Group buttons. Press the button marked "Projector Control" and you should get a screen which now looks like this:
Select the projector(s) you wish to turn on. While looking at the Rear Projection screen from the audience area, Projector #1 is the projector on the right hand portion of the screen while Projector #2 is the left hand portion.
Whichever projector you turn on, a "Projector Warming Up" Label will appear next to the Power Buttons for the next 30 seconds.
Once the 30 second warmup is completed, the projectors that are now on will have a bright yellow power on button to indicate they are now on.
The projectors may still take a few more seconds to warm up before you see the images projected on them. When they are on though, you are good to either use the existing source configured for the projectors or choose your own.
