Example: Plume Data from Minnesota

(Copy and paste the commands in the boxes to avoid misspellings)
  • Copy tarball from my home directory to your local machine's /tmp directory:
cp ~bollig/amiraVolumeExample.bz2 /tmp/. 
  • Untar the file:
cd /tmp && tar xvfj amiraVolumeExample.bz2 
  • Load the script in Amira:
cd amiraVolumeExample && amira CastVolume.hx
  • Play around with the different modules and try to add your own.
  • View the README for information regarding the dataset: Many thanks to Prof. David A. Yuen from the University of MN Twin Cities (MN Supercomputing Institute and Dept. of Geology/Geophysics) for this data.
