SpitFireCluster

spitfire.jpg The SpitFireCluster cluster is owned by Prof. Robert van Engelen's group. We recently acquired 8 PS3 machines for research in the ACIS (advanced computation and information systems) lab. The PS3's will serve the dedicated cycles we need to run experiments with CPU-bound forecast models. We are also interested in programming models and compilation techniques for heterogeneous multicore systems.
