As the matsim nodes and matsim-ib nodes have slightly different hardware confiugrations, it difficult to provide a common environment across them. Currently the only mpi implementation that functions identically in both cluster is OpenMPI?. MVAPICH and MVAPICH2 are available on all nodes in both cluster, and seem to successfully compile programs but MVAPICH and MVAPICH2 cannot be used to run jobs on matsim. MVAPICH and MVAPICH2 require infinband backbone to work. Work is on the way to build and install MPICH and MPICH2, but this will take some time.
